Niall Mhurchaidh
Neil Macleod was from Old Mangersta, and left the village for Vuia Mhor.
He married Catherine Mackenzie from Kirkibost and they lived on Vuia Mhor where they raised a family of twelve.
In the 1820s the couple and ten of their children emigrated to Canada and settled in Cape Breton. John (1776) and John (1783) remained on Lewis.
