Margaret (born 1832) was the youngest daughter of John Macfarlane and Ann Maciver, 3 Old Gearraidh Ghuirm. The villaged was cleared in 1840.

In 1851 the family obtained 52 North Tolsta as a newly lotted croft and in 1853 the family emigrated to Canada and settled at Huron Township, Bruce Country, Ontario.

Margaret married John Macleod, Ontario and formerly of Old Borve. The couple settled in Ontario.
